About us

All of us at the Coal City Fire Protection District, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, are please that you are taking the time from your day to visit with the Fire/EMS District. Thank you for your support.

Our goal is to provide the highest skilled response to our residents and visitors in a time of need. We are constantly challenged with the task of improving upon the service that we provide to our citizens to ensure that they receive quality service. The Coal City Fire Protection District continues to provide a variety of service to meet the challenges we face day in and day out, whether it be a fire, emergency medical call or disaster we stand ready to work and be there whenever the need arises. Our greatest asset is our personnel, their dedication, positive attitude, and sheer determination makes this organization the benchmark of quality customer service. In 2022 Station #1 answered 1426 calls and Station #2 answered 1235 calls for total of 2661 calls for service. In 2021 Station #1 answered 1259 calls and Station #2 answered 1072 calls for a total of 2331 calls for service. In 2020 Station #1 answered 1207 calls and Station #2 answered 880 calls for total of 2087 calls for service. Demand for services continue to increase, as well as mutual aid requests from neighboring departments.
